IT Support Consultant (w/ Azure & Analytics Administration Experience)

Data Meaning is looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer with expertise in Azure administration, Unix environments, RMM tools, and BI platforms like Tableau and MicroStrategy to join our team and ensure seamless IT operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 triage support by diagnosing and resolving technical issues for our clients and end users.
- Escalate unresolved technical problems to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams as needed.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, phone calls, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Administer Microsoft Azure, including provisioning virtual machines, managing user roles/permissions, and implementing cloud security best practices.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), including identity and access management, hybrid cloud integrations, and group policies.
- Troubleshoot Databricks, Analytics tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Alteryx), and associated data pipelines, addressing connectivity issues, permissions errors, and performance concerns.
- Install, configure, and maintain BI tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy, and other analytics platforms as required.
- Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting in Linux environments, including shell scripting, application installs and log analysis.
- Utilize RMM tools (Kaseya / Datto) for remote management, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting of company workstations and Virtual Machines.
- Automate routine maintenance tasks using tools like PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting methods.
- Support user account management systems (AAD, Office 365, AWS, etc.).
- Perform advanced Virtual network troubleshooting (VPN, LAN, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
- Ensure excellent customer service by providing clear communication and timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with other teams to enhance operational workflows and proactively improve system performance.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- 4-5 years of IT support experience, with a proven track record in helpdesk or service desk roles.
- Strong experience in Level 1 triage, including troubleshooting and ticket escalation.
- Expertise managing Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, and identity access.
- Proficiency in Azure Active Directory (AAD), Office 365 administration, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Databricks and other analytics tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Alteryx) at a foundational level.
- Strong knowledge of Virtual networking principles (DNS, DHCP, VPN troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
- Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC), cloud storage, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
